How to Play
Playing Escape Team is simple. All you need are a couple of things:
- A printer! You must print out the missions.
(Those printouts will be cut, folded, written and drawn upon, colored – no way to do all that with an on-screen PDF.) - The free Escape Team app on your phone or tablet.
- People! Escape Team is most fun in a group of 2-4 people.
We know that some users have enjoyed playing Escape Team on their own, though it sounds rather awkward. - Office material. Pens in multiple colors, scissors, tape.
(Need a reason to stay late in the office? Here you go.)
I have a larger group. What now?
If possible, do not exceed group sizes of 4. If you do, people will solve puzzles without others being able to take part, and this might make them feel disconnected from the group. Four is a great number of players to keep everyone involved and engaged.
If you’re splitting your group into teams of 4 (or less), you’ll only need one device per group running the mission. Have them start simultaneously and make it a competition! (You may want to ask them to turn off the mission’s music, as things might get very loud.)
I’m going to host an event using Escape Team. Help!
These events are lots of fun! To help you prepare, we’ve compiled a list of all the solutions for our missions here. And if you’re feeling creative, why not create a personalized mission for your guests using the Escape Team Mission Editor!
